Ram Charan Apologizes After Mix-Up at Peddi Event

Actor Ram Charan showed up for a promotional event for his new film Peddi , the event called Peddi Ki Aawaz, in Bhopal on Saturday evening. During the program, on the stage , he ended up making a few verbal slips while talking to the crowd, it was kind of unplanned, honestly.

In a rapid-fire thing, the host asked Charan to describe multiple cricketers in just one word. And when Charan was asked about Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, he somehow referred to him as a football player, not cricket, that part came out by mistake. Soon after, a clip of that moment moved around on social media, really fast, and people started sharing it.

Later, Ram Charan addressed what happened and apologized. He said the confusion came mainly because the atmosphere was so hectic, plus there was this pressure to speak in front of such a big crowd. Charan also mentioned that in public events sometimes he forgets names for a second, and then it takes time to get back on track. He added that he has huge respect for Bumrah, and he truly admires how Bumrah performs for India.

In the same explanation, Charan praised Bumrah’s steadiness and said the performances of the cricketer make Indians proud. 

Also, during the very same event, Charan briefly said Bhopal was Bihar while speaking to the audience. He noticed pretty quickly and corrected himself right after, like immediately.

The whole event was connected to the promotional campaign for Peddi , where Ram Charan is starring in the lead role.
