‘Peddi’ Premier Bookings Open in Andhra Pradesh: Ticket Prices and Release Plan - Latest News

‘Peddi’ is one of the most anticipated Telugu films right now, at least that is how everyone is talking. Ram Charan is playing the lead, and Buchi Babu is directing the film. Now the movie is basically ready for release, so the team has started doing those last rollout steps, bit by bit.

The makers are sticking to a planned release strategy. Because it’s a pan-India film, they already carried out promotional events in several major cities across India. Those events are meant to build broad visibility before the release day, like real momentum, not just small hype.

Andhra Pradesh premiere bookings open early

In Andhra Pradesh, everything seems to be in motion early. The film is set for a general release on June 4, and a special premiere show is planned for June 3 at 8:00 PM.

Advance ticket bookings for these premiere shows opened on Monday afternoon in multiple cities across the state. A few theatres have also started selling tickets for the June 5 morning shows, so people won’t have to wait that much.

This early booking timing stands out. For many recent releases, ticket bookings were delayed, sometimes opened only a few hours before release. That obviously caused inconvenience for audiences. ‘Peddi’ is trying to avoid that whole mess by opening bookings earlier.

Ticket price details for premieres and regular shows

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has approved higher ticket prices for special shows and the initial release phase.

For the June 3 premiere show at 8:00 PM, the ticket rate is fixed at ₹600, including GST.

For regular screenings, the government has allowed a short-term price increase for 10 days starting June 4.

  • Single-screen theatres: ₹100 extra per ticket
  • Multiplexes: ₹125 extra per ticket

Also, the Home Department has approved up to five shows per day in theatres. This should give exhibitors more screening flexibility during the release window, so schedules can be adjusted quickly.

Telangana approval still unclear

  • In Telangana, it’s not really fully decided yet. The whole ticket price hike thing is still being reviewed, like, quietly.
  • Also the High Court’s directions are being looked at. So the film team is moving a bit slow , careful , you know. Some industry reports say things might become clear within a day or two.
  • If permission is not given, then the film may just release in Telangana at the normal ticket rates. In that situation, there would be no hike applied, nothing extra.
  • A similar mindset was seen with another recent film, Dhurandhar 2. That one came out without any increase and still found audiences really well.

Overseas premiere schedule remains on track

  • Meanwhile, overseas releases are not getting stuck anywhere. The premiere content was already delivered on time, no delays kind of.
  • The international shows are planned exactly as scheduled. Industry sources confirm that there’s no uncertainty around global screenings.
  • So overall, the global rollout is expected to continue on time, alongside the domestic release.
