DSP and Lokesh Kanagaraj Make Their On-Screen Debuts as Lead Actors

Multiple prominent movie stars are taking on major roles as lead actors. The projects gained popularity because of their creators and the themes which they employed.

Devi Sri Prasad as a Dappu Artist

• Music composer Devi Sri Prasad known as DSP is making his debut as a lead actor with the film Yellamma. He plays the role of a Dappu artist. Venu Yeldandi directs the film after his successful work on Balagam.
• The story takes place in a rural village of Telangana. DSP is also composing the music. The film will be released across multiple Indian states. The team is currently filming the movie and they will share additional information at a later time.

Lokesh Kanagaraj as Devadas

• Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is acting as the lead in the film DC. He gained popularity through his work on Kaithi and Vikram. Wamiqa Gabbi plays the female lead.
• Arun Matheswaran is directing the film. The story belongs to the romantic-action genre. This marks Lokesh Kanagaraj’s debut as a protagonist.

Abishan Jeevinth in With Love

• Malayalam director Abishan Jeevinth is also entering lead acting with the film With Love. He gained recognition through his supporting role in Tourist Family.
• With Love is a romantic drama directed by Madan. Anaswara Rajan plays the female lead. The film will release in Telugu on February 6.

Announced Projects Without Updates

• Dil Raju Productions earlier announced the film Akasam Daati Vastava, with choreographer Yash as the lead actor. A promotional video was released but no updates have followed. Sasikumar is directing this romantic film.
• A similar situation exists with the film featuring fight master Peter Hein as the hero. The project received its announcement at an earlier time but there have been no updates since that announcement. The film named Ma Vetri has its title pending final determination by director Ma Vetri.
