Polish Basketball Player Breaks Guinness World Record With Nearly 3-Meter Jump

Piotr "Grabo" Grabowski of Poland, a basketball player, leapt into the air to execute the highest between-the-legs slam dunk in order to break the previous record. Grabowski set a brand-new Guinness World Records by flying 3.2 metres (10 feet, 5 inches) in the air while passing the ball from one hand to the other below his thigh. It was an incredible, blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment. A typical NBA basketball hoop is 3.05 metres (10 feet) tall, thus the extra 15 cm is obviously important. This is according to the Guinness Book of World Records. The highest between-the-legs slam dunk is a new GWR category, and the minimum for the record was established at 3.15, according to the record book taller than a typical hoop at 10 ft 4 in and 10 cm (3.9 in). Dunk Elite professional slam dunker Grabo, who made it on his first try at the Crystal Palace National Sports Center in London, UK, proven to be unbeatable. Grabo then asked for the hoop to be raised to 3.2 metres, and after a few practise shots, he successfully achieved the incredible record. Grabo has won the FIBA 3x3 World Championship twice. "It's weird because I wasn't sure I would succeed on 3.15 metres yesterday; I felt it would be quite challenging, but I managed to do it on the first try I then made the decision to attempt at 3.2 m, thinking it would be impossible, but I succeeded! Grabo declared after celebrating his success, "Basketball is in my DNA. Every time I jump up to dunk, I'm defying gravity and pushing myself to the very maximum. Breaking records feels magical to me. I hope that spreading this encourages people to use their own magic. Said Grabowski.
