The 293 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder machine now develops 27.33 PS and 27.03 Nm of torque thanks to the new modification. The motor is connected to a 6-speed gearbox. It has acquired a significant amount of weight and presently weighs 172 kg. The Jawa has a twin downtube frame, a standard telescopic fork, and dual shocks at the back with 5-step preload adjustment. The bike is held together by a single 280mm disc brake with ABS up front, and a traditional 153mm drum brake at the back to keep costs down. It sports 18-inch front and 17-inch rear tyres with 90/90 front and 120/80 rear sections. Short riders should appreciate the low seat height of 765mm.
Fortunately, the legendary Jawa remains true to its vintage roots. The design is evocative of the original bike, which we find appealing. It has a dome-shaped light that expands and wraps around the front fork. Other prominent design elements include vintage-style fenders, a teardrop-shaped chrome-accented fuel tank, and a very compact single-seat arrangement.
