Through direct benefit transfers to more than eight lakh beneficiaries, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced the disbursement of the 13th installment of more than 16,000 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN). According to the programme, qualifying farmer families get 6,000 year in three equal payments of 2,000 each. PM Modi also dedicated the renovated Belagavi Railway Station building to the country during the function. For an estimated 190 crore, the train station was completely renovated to provide passengers first-rate amenities. The Prime Minister also dedicated the rail line doubling project between Londa and Belagavi and the Ghataprabha portion at Belagavi to the country. This project was created for around 930 crore. According to a press release, would increase line capacity along the congested Mumbai-Pune-Hubballi-Bengaluru railway line, promoting trade, commerce, and economic activity in the area. The Jal Jeevan Mission's six multi-village scheme projects, which will be built at a total cost of around 1,585 crore and benefit roughly 8.8 lakh people living in more than 315 villages, also received the foundation stone from PM Modi in Belagavi. The ceremony was attended by the chief minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai, the union ministers for agriculture and farmers' welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar and Pralhad Joshi, the minister for parliamentary affairs, Shobha Karandlaje, and others.
