Vijay Deverakonda Announces Scholarships in 44 Schools During Hometown Visit

Return to Hometown After Marriage

• Vijay Deverakonda returned to his hometown Tummanpet after marrying Rashmika Mandanna. He is the son of Deverakonda Madhavi and Govardhan Rao. His family belongs to Tummanpet village which exists in the Balmoor mandal of Nagarkurnool district.
• The couple got married on the 26th of last month. The family held a traditional welcome ceremony after they finished building their new farmhouse in the village. The villagers welcomed the couple by playing drums and performing kolata. The family conducted a housewarming ceremony which they performed with deep dedication. The couple participated in the Satyanarayana Swamy Vratham after they offered prayers and walked around the Tulsi plant.

Strong Bond With the Village

• Vijay Deverakonda left Tummanpet 32 years ago according to his statement. His family maintains a close relationship with the villagers. He shared that his parents celebrated his first birthday in the same village. He expressed pride in building a house in his hometown as per his father’s wish.
• The family hosted a feast for the villagers and fans after the wedding. Vijay Deverakonda announced an important educational decision for the announcement. He said that from this academic year, two students from Tummanpet High School will receive scholarships. The students must secure the highest marks in Classes 9 and 10 and stand first and second in the school.
• He announced that 44 additional schools in the Achampet division will receive scholarship funding starting from the next academic year.

Traditional Appearance and Celebrations

• Vijay Deverakonda wore traditional panchakattu attire during the event. Rashmika Mandanna wore a saree. Their traditional appearance attracted attention from villagers and fans.
• After completing the Satyanarayana Swamy Vratham, villagers attended a meal arranged in a special dining area. Rashmika Mandanna interacted with fans and greeted them warmly.

Dignitaries in Attendance

Several public representatives attended the event to bless the couple. Nagarkurnool District Collector Badavat Santosh, MP Mallu Ravi, Kalwakurthy MLA Kasireddy Narayana Reddy, former MP Ramulu, former minister Niranjan Reddy, and Nagam Shashidhar Reddy were present. Local political leaders also participated in the celebrations.
