ISRO Launch of 'Anvesha' Satellite Interrupted
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) faced a problem during the launch of the PSLV-C62 rocket. The 'EOS-N1' satellite, which ISRO named 'Anvesha', was the main payload and it is a major contribute for India's defense industry. V. Narayanan, ISRO's Chairman, reported the problem.
Launch Steps and Disruption
The PSLV-C62 rocket was expected to finish its mission in four separate operations. ISRO stated that the launch was going on smoothly until the third stage when the incident occurred. The agency will look into the problem and then elaborate.
Rocket Launch and Cargo
The rocket took off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SHAR) in Sriharikota at ten eighteen in the morning on Monday. In addition to EOS-N1, the rocket had 14 small satellites from India, the UK, Thailand, Brazil, Spain, Nepal, and other countries. The disruption occurred while these satellites were being placed into orbit. This flight is ISRO’s first mission of 2026.
Mission Overview
This was the ninth complete commercial mission by NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) done by ISRO. The main satellite, EOS-N1, is a hyperspectral imaging satellite made by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The satellite is for border surveillance, soil monitoring, and disaster management.
Afterward
ISRO will look into the disruption's reason and will publish a thorough report once the evaluation is done.
